Sushi Knife:Japan’s version of product placement

Product placement is nothing new to the advertising arena. In the background of video games, it is not a surprise to see a beverage ad. Also, look at Hollywood films. Plenty of product placements from James Bond driving a BMW to actresses wearing a designer label.

But in Japan, the video captures a unique product placement. In this case, the chef is promoting the movie Thank You for Smoking, which is a movie I enjoyed.

Leave it to the Japanese for off the wall innovative ideas.
